Maintenance and analysis of attribute data

These functions are used to edit, check and analyse non-spatial attribute data.

  • Attribute editing functions - allow attributes to be retrieved, examined and changed. Can add new attributes and delete old ones.

  • Attribute query functions - retrieve records in the attribute database according to a set of conditions specified by the operator (Aranoff, 1989).
