Patch Analyst
Like in other environmental
modelling applications, software for the analysis of landscape pattern has largely
existed separately from the GIS. However, since the early 1990s spatial pattern
analysis software capable of calculating some of the common landscape metrics
has been increasingly developed in association with GIS technology and some
of the latest packages will run within the GIS itself.
