Fire fundamentals
This section focuses on the fundamentals of fire itself: ignition sources, the fire regime, fire weather, fuel characteristics and fire behaviour. These basics are very important because they are central to almost everything you will subsequently learn about fire. Basic information on burning operations is also presented.
We explore these fundamentals of fire by following Dr Dick Williams from CSIRO as he conducts fire experiments in the Territory Wildlife Park just outside Darwin.
