About ITP403 Network Administration

This subject covers the fundamentals of network Administration and incorporates Cisco's CCNA 1.

Time Committment
9 hours per week
Lecture - 2 hours per week
Practical/Tutorials/On-Line Tutorials/On-Line Tests - 7 hours per week
Practical – There are 4 Practical activities you MUST complete. The Pracs run on a “sliding window” system and you have 3 weeks to attend and complete a practical exercise.
Tutorials – There are 3 tutorials which you can complete and submit if you wish to.
Online tutorials – using Cisco’s superb on-line curriculum you work through the Chapters at your own pace
Online Tests – Each Cisco chapter has a test which you need to pass. The tests are also run on a sliding window system and you may have up to 3 attempts in the given time.Prerequisits
Good reading and comprehension skills (IELTS score of 5.5 or greater).
Recognition of Prior Learning
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) recognises skills and knowledge obtained through formal training (conducted by Industry or Educational Institutions in Australia or overseas). This training is usually acknowledged by certificate, given on successful completion. Other prior learning can take place through work experience (informal training) and life experiences.
If you feel that you have knowledge of, and can demonstrate the required skills for the learning outcomes, of this unit or other units you may be entitled to be exempted, either by the production of your certificate, or other documentation, and the completion of an RPL application.

Cisco CCNA Semester 1 course materials will be available on line 24 hours per day, 6.5 days per week.
