There are
three main types of analyses applied to remotely sensed data:
An indication
of how accurate the results are is needed to substantiate the results. Confidence
in classification for example can be achieved from ground
truthing; that is by going out into the area that has been mapped
by remote sensing, and recording what is present on the ground.
