Landscape measures

According to Haines-Young and Chopping, (1996) landscape measures can be divided into indices of:

  • Area

  • Edge

  • Shape

  • Core area

  • Nearest neighbour

  • Diversity

  • Contagion

  • Interdispersion
Do you undertstand these terms, or will you use the glossary?
Can you visualise what each of these would look like? Maybe you could clarify your ideas in the discussion forum.
