Usage components of data quality are specific to the
resources of the organisation.
Accessibility refers to the ease at which data can be
obtained and used. Some data can have restricted access, while other data
may take considerable time or effort to retrieve it from its source, which
makes it not suitable for use.
Accessibility can be affected by data format, copyright
laws and the cost of the data.
Direct costs relate the price paid for the data. If
organisations generate their own data, the cost of making that data set
can be hidden. This makes accessing true costs of data difficult. Indirect
costs include factors such as time and materials needed.
