Implications

Even though the two methods are quite different they both produce results which indicate that the site closest to the waterhole (KS1) has a patch structure that is less stable than KS5. This demonstrates that landscapes that are more intensively grazed are likely to be more at risk from degradation, because the structure can not sustain the necessary processes needed to maintain a healthy landscape (Pearson, 2000).
