Welcome to SBI509 Managing Northern Landscapes at the Charles Darwin University.

The unit has been created by a team of researchers, educationalists and stakeholders in rangelands management. This team approach will continue as you collaborate with your lecturer and a panel of experts to explore global, regional and local land management issues.

Throughout this unit you will need to communicate with others within the group - setting goals, identifying what you need to do, and clarifying the issues. The more you participate, the more you will gain from the unit.

Access Services

The Access Services provides support to distance education/flexible learning students at Charles Darwin University.

Contact Access Services when you have an administrative query or problem and contact your coordinator where you have an academic query or problem.

Study Buddy CD

You will receive your Study Buddy CD with your first external study package. The CD provides useful information on how to study off-campus such as:

• Access Services and Charles Darwin University administration
• Services, ie. Off-campus library and computer labs
• Study advice and support
• Links to the support programs, Study Skills and InfoSmart (no web access required).
