Scale and corridors

Connectivity is scale dependent. At the local scale corridors can be referred to as ecoclines. At the continental level they can be referred to as geolines. (Bridgewater, 1993). Fire related landscape elements (regeneration patches) are major determinants for ecoclines in Australian landscapes.
