Corridor connectivity

High corridor connectivity is important for

• enhanced recolonisation following frequent local extinctions
  
• enhanced gene flow to combat inbreeding depression
  
• reduce fetch and erosion in the matrix
  

Low corridor connectivity is suggested to

• decrease the spread of pests and disturbances
  
• decrease the sink (mortality) effect on interior species
