Kununurra case study

Paul Royce is a social scientist based in Kununurra, WA. His study was supported by the National Plant Biosecurity CRC.

Read (Royce 2008), which presents preliminary findings of his study, investigating how a community gathers and shares information.

While reading the article, make notes on points that you find interesting, useful, or with which you disagree.

  1. With whom in the community would you identify or position yourself?
  2. What might your community sector have in common with others in the community?
  3. What might be differences to, or barriers between, you and other community sectors or groups?
