SNP504 Mental Health in the Community

SNP 405 examines issues relating to mental health/wellness and mental illness. Factors that influence an individual’s mental health throughout the life span are explored in relation to the individual, family, the community cultural diversity, health promotion and prevention.

The unit has three major themes:

For each theme we will study various topics within which communication, interpersonal interactions and ethical considerations are all integral and significant. The focus of our study is Australia but mental health is considered in a worldwide context.
