Don't do things the long way!
This statement seems self-evident but it is amazing how often we are all guilty of doing this. Once we know how to do something, we continue to do it that way even if we know a quicker or better way must exist. It all seems too difficult or time-consuming to look it up in Help or our notes. However if you force yourself to in the long term you will save yourself time and effort and become an expert user of Excel.
What have I learned?
After completing these activities you should:- understand how and when to use macros and templates
- realise that Excel provides many techniques that can minimise the work you need to do.
