Introduction to research and reading

This section will provide you with a starting point from which to develop your skills in these two areas. At university you will be required to read widely. This section provides strategies you can use to effectively read a cross-section of academic texts.

Apart from reading your texts books, you will be required to locate and read support material, such as journal articles, for every assignment you do. Here you will find guidance on how to search for literature and a link to the CDU library referencing guides.

If you would like further information, please contact staff from the Academic Language and Learning Success Program (ALLSP), who run free workshops for internal and external students.
