Either

Analyse and evaluate a specific area of interest derived from the listed topics introduced in this unit. The end-product will be a fully referenced essay-style academic document.

Build and evaluate a database-backed web application high fidelity prototype using the Ruby on Rails framework. The application must be documented, evaluated and explained.

Initially discuss the option you are considering with your lecturer to ensure that the task is feasible in the time available. Please make sure you do this be the end of Week 3
Next prepare a project proposal which clearly defines your topic/project and timeframe constraints. This document should be no more than 500 words.
Include the following in your proposal:
- Background to the proposed project
- Who is the intended audience? Why has this audience been selected?
- What will you produce?
- What is the proposed starting date?
- What is the deadline for completion of the project?

Build and evaluate a high fidelity prototype for a database-backed web application using the Ruby on Rails framework.

Submit a functioning prototype.
Analyse the usability of the product. Use at least two user evaluations with two different evaluation strategies
Include an Entity Relationship Diagram or similar method to clearly show the relationships between the database tables.
Ensure that you use an appropriate Harvard referencing style in your analysis and discussion of the product.
