Parthenium

Parthenium hysterophorus is commonly known as parthenium weed, parthenium, white top and ragweed. It is an invasive annual of open land and pastures, areas subject to overgrazing. It is recognised as one of the worst weeds for agriculture, the environment and human health in Queensland and New South Wales.

A native of Mexico and the USA it has spread prolifically in central Queensland.
