Park Management

We suggest you complete the joint management sections before you start this section. Knowledge of the Park’s decision-making processes will help you understand and appreciate the practices of implementing management decisions. Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park is jointly managed by the traditional Aboriginal owners and the Department of the Environment and Heritage (DEH). After reading the joint management section of this course, you will also have an understanding of the decision making processes involved in managing the Park, and the fact that Tjukurpa, above all else, guides these decisions.

In this section we’ll look at the way management decisions are implemented on a day-to-day basis. The topics we will cover include:
