The importance of Uluru–Kata Tjuta National Park, as home and spiritual basis to life for Anangu, cannot be overstated. The Park and its icons also have national natural, cultural and symbolic importance. It is worth bearing in mind that the international significance of the Park – including its World Heritage status – was first determined by its local and national importance.
