The Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC) promotes discipline based initiatives and the ALTC Exchange is a valuable networking site and document repository that includes discipline-based teaching and learning resources and communities.
The University of Sydney host a website for Supporting Teaching in the
Faculties of Science.
The
Higher Education Academy (UK) provides
discpline based support through a Subject Network of 24
Subject Centres.
For example the Centre
for
Active Learning in Geography and Environment Related Disciplines (CeAL)
focus is on reviewing, developing, promoting and embedding inclusive
active learning for students in greography, environment and related
disciplines.
There are 74 centres
for excellence in teaching and Learing (CELTS) in the UK funded by
the Higher Education Funding Council
for England showcasing excellence in teaching practice at both the
discipline level and across program areas.
Internationally the Carnegie Foundation hosts the Carnegie Academy for the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning (CASTL).
