Locating the journal in the Library

Many journal articles are available full text on the electronic databases however, most journal articles will not be available full text and you will only have access to the citation details and abstract of the journal article. You will need to try to locate the full text article yourself.

Locating the full text involves identifying which libraries own the publications you need. There are a number of catalogues and other databases to help you do this. Always check the Charles Darwin University catalogue first.

From the Library homepage select CDU Catalogue.

Then select Journal Title from the drop down menu and type in the title of the journal NOT the article.

If you CDU Library does not subscribe to the journal you are looking for you may need to request an interlibrary loan for the journal article you want. Access the Interlibrary Loans web page for more information.

From the CDU Library homepage, you can also access other library catalogues:

You can connect to these from the CDU Library homepage, by choosing Other Catalogues.
